Why the Hampshire Loader?
Shooting is a sport which is full of stress, particularly when a single high bird comes out on its own, straight over you, moving sideways with the gale force wind, and appearing to you as a blur through the rain. Knowing that your gun has been kept dry, that your ear defenders are still working, having been protected by one of our Ear defender Bags; that your feet are warm, your boots having been kept separate from a pile of other wet boots in their individual Bootbag; and, above all, that you can reach for your cartridges in pairs at hand height from one of our handmade cartridge bags to cleanly kill the hardest bird, will, we hope, enable you to relax and enjoy your day.

How to care for your Hampshire Loader products
Hampshire Loader – Instructions
Fill the bag, then screw the top and bottom of the pole together and then march to peg with bag, using pole as a walking stick.
Place pole in position and then push it firmly into the ground…at least the proverbial 6 inches!
Place bag on pole using the slots at the back to hold the bag in position, and open, rolling the flap back over the top and out of the way.
Whilst shooting, you can load from the pockets in pairs, or direct from the bag, but in a big drive, it is worth topping up the pockets as you go.
When finished, buckle up the bag and remove it from the pole, and then pull pole out and return to whence you came.
Do not bend the pole, it is only designed to be used as a walking pole and then for the bag to be put on it, after direct pressure to put it in the ground. It is not able to support heavy weight loads, such as may occur if used to cross streams by swinging on it!
NB Rocky ground, or very solid pebble bases may prevent the pole going in, in which case, you can only lay the bag on the ground.
When shooting grouse (if still allowed!) from a butt, lay the bag open on the butt with the top flap towards you, pulled out so that a number of cartridges can be placed upon the flap as well as those in the pockets. This way, loading is very quick and easy!
Hampshire Loader Leather Products
We are sure that our clients will appreciate that Leather is a natural material, and needs to be cleaned and nourished, as it will otherwise deteriorate.
If the product gets wet, wipe it down with a soft cloth or a kitchen sponge, and then leave it to dry away from direct sources of heat. Equally if the product gets dirty, wipe the dirt off with a wet cloth, and then leave to dry as above.
If the leather remains slightly dirty, use a leather cleaner next, but if it is clean, use a leather food.
We prefer the Renapur range of products, which not only clean, but also nourish and restore the original waterproof qualities of the leather.
Metal products just need wiping down and gentle drying
